More Business Intelligence Capabilities included by GrapeCity PowerTools' ActiveAnalysis 2

GrapeCity PowerTools announced the availability of a new release of its .NET analysis component, ActiveAnalysis 2. The component lets developers embed out-of-the box OLAP, data visualization, and business intelligence (BI) features by using charts, pivot tables, and data visualization for Silverlight, Windows Forms, and ASP.NET.

ActiveAnalysis 2 now lets developers reference external assemblies and extend library functions to help them work with queries and calculations. The component's user experience (UX) has been enhanced with improved expression validation and a pivot grid menu that provides customization capabilities. In addition, GrapeCity PowerTools is providing users with more support for multi-parameter aggregate functions, as well as improvements in printing and exporting for multi-page views.

"Our customers have asked us to provide the capability to extend our product so they can include unique and industry-specific custom functions for a multitude of analytical purposes. We are pleased to say we have answered our customers' requests, and in a clean and logical manner as custom functions in an external assembly, in a class within the project, or in a few lines of custom code," said Shalini Kumari, GrapeCity PowerTools product manager for ActiveAnalysis 2.
